FRIDA KAHLO

Hello classmates in this opportunity I will talk about a free topic to the corresponding free session number 9. In this moment I am working in self-portraits, and one of the referent more important for me is Frida Kahlo, so today I will talk of she. Frida Kahlo is a painter, was born in Coyoacan Mexico in 1907, and died in 1954. She had a life very difficult, suffered an accident in which almost died, and left her unable to walk for more than a year, so always suffered from pain and could not have children, had several abortions, came to be operated more than 30 times during the period that was prostrate started painting, like don't have a model, she painted herself, that followed throughout his artistic career, Frida was branded like surreal, but She said that was not, because she painted things that for she were real. She had rather tortuous love life but passionate, her husband and great love was the muralist painter Diego Rivera. I admire to Frida, because had the strength for overcome the difficulties of your life, with the resource most beautiful and which is also mine, the painting.

English language

Hello classmates, today I will talk about the English language. I started English classes in the last year in the first level, and the English language is very difficult for me.

About this semester, I like the form of the classes like talking in English with my classmates, because in this way I practice my English, and to get to talk in a good form is very difficult for me.

The use of blogs helped very much, because before I couldn’t write, and this is a didactic form to learn.

The aspects of my English that I need to be improve is first my vocabulary, because is very poor, also the use written English, to make sentences and is very important to improve my communication in English, because speaking in English (like I said before) is very difficult for me.  My plan for improving these things is to continue with the practice of English, listening to music and watching movies and series in English. Never stop practicing. Also in the future I would like to travel to USA to learn more.

In my life outside the English class, I don´t speak in English too much, but I always watch series and movies in English. Also, I listen to music in English and I try to translate the lyrics.

I really hope that my English improves enough so I can communicate in a good form and I can understand English. For example, in my hometown tourists always ask me things and I don´t understand, so I can´t answer their questions, but I think that I will get this. It’s an important objective for me and my personal and professional growth.

My year :)

Hello classmates, today I will talk about my year, this year was a year of changes for me, especially in my personal development. Something good this year, was to know new friends in the university, and share whit them.  Also, this year I had very important achievements for me, for example: the things that I learned in the goldsmithing subject, in my most important workshop that is Painting, I got to paint a self-portrait that is very difficult.

Something that did not go so well was my mood, because sometimes I felt depressed, but is something that I have to solve.

In the terms of sports, during this year I practiced Zumba, and that helped too much in my mood and in my body.

I had an exhausting year in the University, third year is very exhausting, because it was more demanding than previous years and the most difficult part is still to come: the final exams. But I’m very satisfied whit the results.

I think the most important thing that I would like to highlight is the learning that I got, especially because the next year is my last year in the university, so this is very good that I feel satisfied with my learning. The truth is, that I don’t want to leave the university, because it is a very nice place, I really like to be here.

To summarize, this year was a good year, always the best is to stay with the positive and learning of the negative, and I try to do that. I hope that this year leaves with all my subjects passed, I always fear to fail one.

Environment we live in...

Hello classmates, today I'm going to talk about the environment we live in. First is important that as I have told you before Im from to Santa Cruz, a small town unlike Santiago and that is not as polluted as Santiago. I think that the people learn about environmentally friendly practices in the school, in the house with your parent´s and in internet that have enough information about it.

In the form in that I practise the recycling is in the use of recycled materials for my work, such as cartons or other things found.

I use the bus for my transporting and sometimes I walk, I like walk and  also is very healthy for the environment and for us.

I never joined or supported any eco-organisations, but I would like to do. 

I think that I don't have done much to reduce carbon footprint, because I don't have the habit recycling incorporated into my daily life, but little by little I become aware. 

In my opinion Santiago this at a critical moment, it is too polluted, and if people do not take care to help remedy this soon will be too late, it's amazing the level of contamination, I always said that in my hometown the sky is always full of stars but in Santiago if it's a lucky day perhaps are about 4 or 5 stars   :(

So to work for a better place, is in our hands, if everyone contributes with their bit!

Life is beautiful

Hello classmates in this opportunity I choose the topic, and the topic that I choose is movies.

I love all kinds of movies, well, except for action movies like "Terminator"... I feel that it depends on my mood, the kind of movie I want to see. So when I need to cry I see romantic movies because I know myself and cry with romantic movies, they are usually sad.  I think movies are a good way for catharsis.
When I’m really interested to see a good movie, I usually ask my friends to recommend one to see. I like a lot the movies that leave me in shock when they end, or they do reflect on my own life.
I like so many movies that I couldn’t say which one is my favorite, but I think that one could be "Life is beautiful". It is a beautiful movie that makes you laugh, makes you mourn, for what values ​​you have, you stop for a moment to reflect.

"Life is beautiful" is an Italian film, it is written, directed and starring by Roberto Benigni. It tells the story of Guido, his wife Dora and their son Giosuè, who are in a concentration camp.

I think you must have seen it, but if you have not already, please watch it, it's a great movie, a great story!

Food!

Hello classmates, In this opportunity I choose the topic that I will talk, and is the food, well, maybe  seem boring, but  I would talk about the food, because quickly came to my mind.

First, I think that  I have to say my favorite food, not is a plate of food, I think it is more a snack, is the dried meat, must sound weird but is true, always I eat dried meat, I love it.  My favorite plate of food is fried fish with salad and lasagna,  a curious thing is that when I visit my parents in my hometown I always expect them with a tasty cazuela, is funny because before I came to live in Santiago I hated the cazuela, now  I love it. The food that I never liked are the beans, but I really like lentils, try to be ordered with meals, since I cook myself. As for vegetables, I like a lot and I have no problem eating them, but the fruit I eat costs a little more. I try not to eat a lot of fast food because it really is very harmful to our body, but sometimes I fall into the temptation…

Santa Cruz

Hello classmates, today I will talk about my hometown, because I live in Santiago because I study here, but I am from Santa Cruz, my hometown.  Santa Cruz is a small town located in the VI region of the country, is a tourist town, famous for being part of the route of the wine with a lot of vineyards and the train of the wine. In Santa Cruz there is a museum that I really like and there is a casino, that I’ don´t like. In my opinion is horrible for a small town with rural customs, well, is horrible in any place, I really don´t like casinos.

You can always find tourists in the square of the town, the “Plaza de Armas” yes is the same name that the square of Santiago.  People from Santiago maybe can think that living in Santa Cruz is boring, but it is great, because it is a quiet place, but entertaining especially with the friends. I conserved friends from school, and also I went to Santa Cruz with some of my friends from university.

In my home in Santa Cruz my parents are living and I live in Santiago with my brothers, so at the weekends to visit my parents with my sister and my brother. It was difficult to move but now I’m used to live in Santiago.

Bolivia!

Hello, in this opportunity I talk about the country I would like to visit, I have a wish, is visit all the countries of Latin American, and only visit until now two countries , so remain  enough for visit. And the next country of Latin American that I would like to visit is Bolivia, because I'm interested in the culture of this country and get to know about it history and the people, also I interested in view the landscape , I imagine that it landscape is very beautiful. I would like  to go all over the country, enjoy of the culture, talk with the people.  In the case that I can live for a time, I would like to work in my art, painting experiences  that I live, but in my plan isn´t live there, so I would like to take a long vacations in Bolivia, let´s hope a month, for I have the time for go over with calm all the place of the country. And after continue to visit the rest of the countries. I really wish travel a lot in my life. Well, is all for today. Goodbye!

My ideal job

Hi everyone, today I will talk about of my ideal job, that is be a teacher of plastic arts in schools. Also I would like to teach in a particular way to conduct workshops for people who are interested in learning about arts and crafts, and in parallel form make my own works in my workshop.

I think that for releasing this work, is necessary have a vocation and passion for teaching, and for arts.

I want to be a good teacher, because I think the fact that this art is not highly appreciated and understood in this country, is because I think that is not taught in a good way at school.

I think it should not be so difficult to find work as a teacher because teachers always need throughout the country, although they have decreased the hours of  plastic arts.

I hope to accomplish this, and have the necessary training to do well.

First Semester

My first semester of this year, was a good semester but also was a exhausting semester in the University. I learned about the technique of the goldsmithing and was a good experience,  In my workshop I worked with the self-portrait, and was a difficult but  gratifying  experience, In the draw class I learned a lot, and I've improved a lot so I felt very comfortable with the teacher who chose.

In my free time practiced the aerobic dance, two days in the week, I really liked it so I keep at it.

One difficulty I faced was organize all my time especially with the end of semester exams, because it was more demanding than previous semesters, but I finally managed to finish my semester well.

In the university I did new friends  that made me very happy and they have been very good friends, besides kept my old friends.
